Author and cultural critic Emily Lordi will discuss the release of Holding Lightning with music journalist Ann Powers. The conversation will examine Whitney Houston’s life, artistry, faith, and cultural legacy, including her impact on Black music, celebrity, and American culture. The free public event will take place in the Roots Theater. Preregistration is appreciated.
