Leïla Ka presents a trilogy of contemporary dance works: You’re the One We Love, Bouffées (Gasp), and Pode Ser (Could it be). Blending hip-hop, street dance, and contemporary movement, the performance explores docility, liberation, self-discovery, and the ways bodies resist conformity and reclaim their stories. Vintage dresses serve as instruments of resistance throughout the three portraits of womanhood. The performance marks the U.S. premiere of the trilogy.
