The festival recreates the time of Charles Dickens against the backdrop of historic downtown Franklin’s architecture. Musicians, dancers and Dickens characters appear throughout the streets, including Fagin from Oliver Twist; Jacob Marley, Ebenezer Scrooge, Tiny Tim and the Cratchit family from A Christmas Carol; and a Victorian Father and Mother Christmas, who offer treats for children. The event is produced by the Heritage Foundation of Williamson County.
