This documentary explores the life and career of Steven Fromholz, a pioneer of 1970s Texas progressive country who was admired by Willie Nelson, Lyle Lovett, and John Denver but remained commercially unknown. After working as a Rio Grande river guide, Fromholz suffered a debilitating stroke that erased his musical memory. Newly discovered archival materials, including previously unheard recordings, help reconstruct his story and examine success and artistic identity. The screening includes a post-screening discussion with Director Austin Sayre, Executive Producer Brian Easley, and Producer Stephanie Moore. The film made its world premiere at SXSW. 2026, U.S., 89 minutes. Recommended for ages 13 and older.
