Humphrey Bogart stars as hard-boiled private investigator Sam Spade, who becomes entangled with a group of international thieves willing to lie, double-cross and murder to obtain a small, jewel-encrusted statue known as the Maltese Falcon. The film screens at Belcourt Theatre.
