This two-hour workshop combines matcha preparation with handbuilding ceramics. Participants receive a guide to at-home matcha preparation, including tools, water temperature, sifting, and whisking techniques, along with a made-to-order matcha drink prepared by Linga from Ceremony Matcha. With step-by-step instruction, attendees use pinch and slab methods to make a ceramic matcha bowl (chawan) and matching whisk holder. The workshop is open to all skill levels and includes clay, tools, glazes, firings, and one drink. Finished pieces are glazed with food-safe studio glazes and are expected to be ready for pickup in approximately four weeks.
