Beginners Introduction to Sewing: T-Shirt Blanket

This approximately four-hour class covers the basics of sewing machines and overlock serger machines while participants construct a blanket from old T-shirts. No prior experience is required. Tuition includes fleece backing fabric, thread, machine and serger use, sewing notions, and instruction. Participants should bring 16 T-shirts; shirts may count as two if both the front and back are used. Enrollment closes three days before class, and last-minute enrollments require approval. The class is subject to minimum enrollment and may be rescheduled or canceled if that minimum is not met. Enrollments are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Unfinished projects may be completed at home with phone assistance from the instructor or left for a seamstress to finish.
