Event details
Valentina Peleggi conducts a program featuring Anna Clyne’s Masquerade, Camille Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto No. 1 with Nashville Symphony principal cellist Kevin Bate, and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade. The concert opens with Clyne’s five-minute work, inspired by 18th-century pleasure gardens, and is presented in celebration of Women’s History Month. Scheherazade draws on the stories of One Thousand and One Nights, with a solo violin representing the storyteller throughout the work’s four movements.
