This beginner-level class introduces the fundamentals of crochet through practice stitches and the creation of a dishcloth. Topics include hooks and yarn, basic stitch abbreviations, yarn handling and tension, and skill levels. The class lasts approximately two hours and is taught by Kim Wienzierl. The Forge provides all tools and materials, including a pattern book, crochet hook, cotton yarn, yarn needle, stitch guide, scissors and ruler. Enrollment closes three days before class; late enrollment requires approval. The class is subject to a minimum enrollment and may be rescheduled or canceled if there are not enough students. Enrollments are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
