Intro to MIG Welding

About this event

This beginner-level class provides an introduction to MIG welding, including safe welding of mild steel, multiple joint styles, and hands-on practice with a dedicated welder. Participants will make a small steel pen holder to take home. The approximately three-hour class includes all materials and personal protective equipment and is limited to five students. The minimum age is 16; students under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to sign a waiver. Completion is required before taking Metal Fabrication 1 and 2 or Introduction to TIG Welding.
