Lantern Hikes explore 1.5 miles of moderately challenging natural-surface trail after sunset, with moderate uphill and downhill sections and uneven terrain. Participants may hear nocturnal animals, including owls, coyotes, crickets and frogs, and hear stories about the history of Owl’s Hill. Lanterns are provided; additional light sources are not permitted. Admission is $18 per person. The hike is for ages 12 and older, and participants ages 12–17 must be accompanied by an adult. The gate opens 30 minutes before the program, which begins promptly with no late entry. Closed-toe hiking shoes are strongly recommended. Participants should bring dinner for a picnic and take all trash with them.
