Presented at Nashville Children’s Theatre from February 27 through April 30, 2027, this family-friendly musical follows 8-year-old Lily Polkadot, the first Polkadot at an all-Square school, as she faces bullying and learns about acceptance and friendship. Inspired by Civil Rights pioneers Ruby Bridges and the Little Rock Nine, the production offers an accessible introduction to an important history lesson. Book by Melvin Tunstall III, with music by Greg Dean Borowsky and Douglas Lyons and lyrics by Douglas Lyons. Recommended for grades K–8.
