Discovery Design Time explores capillary action, the process that allows liquid to move through tiny spaces and cling to surfaces. Participants will create fall-inspired leaf artwork by outlining leaf shapes with glue and salt, then using liquid watercolor to observe color travel along the lines. The session introduces terms including capillary action, matter, and space while exploring diffusion and the science of everyday liquids. Discovery Design Time is a weekly Thursday program, with a new theme and activity each session.
