Discovery Design Time is a weekly Thursday program featuring a new hands-on art activity each session. This session, themed “Monsters in the Museum,” explores natural and synthetic clays before participants make air-dry clay from cornstarch, glue, and vinegar. They can knead, mold, and sculpt creations using clay tools and hand-building techniques, then add color with markers once the pieces set. The activity introduces terms such as mold, pinch, smooth, and ream while practicing hand-eye coordination and modeling from reference.
