A North American tour of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music follows Maria, a spirited nun who leaves the convent and becomes part of the von Trapp family. The production features songs including “Do-Re-Mi,” “Sixteen Going on Seventeen” and “Edelweiss,” with music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, and a book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse. It is directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O’Brien.
