Emily Shackelton is a songwriter and performer originally from Biwabik, Minnesota. After studying at Berklee College of Music and winning the John Lennon BMI Foundation songwriting competition, she moved to Nashville to pursue her career. Her writing credits include songs recorded by Carly Pearce, Reba McEntire, Sara Evans, Jana Kramer, Runaway June, and other artists. She co-wrote Carly Pearce’s “What He Didn’t Do” and celebrated her first No. 1 with Pearce’s “Every Little Thing.” Shackelton was named Music Row Magazine’s Breakout Songwriter of the Year in 2018.
