Johnny Clawson is a Nashville-based songwriter and artist from Leesburg, Virginia. He co-wrote Blake Shelton’s No. 1 single “Texas” and Ella Langley’s No. 1 hit “weren’t for the wind,” along with songs recorded by Kenny Chesney, Jon Pardi, Chris Young, Josh Ross, and others. Clawson won Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year at the 2025 MusicRow Awards and was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2025 CMA Awards for “Texas.”
