Chicago-raised jazz musician Alex Murphy studied at DePaul University under Ron Perrillo and Dana Hall after attending Birch Creek Jazz Camp. His performance history includes the Jazz Showcase, Andy’s Jazz Club, Green Mill, the Chicago Jazz Festival and other Midwest jazz festivals. He has also performed or shared the stage with artists including Nicholas Payton, Dave Douglas, Bobby Broom and Joel Frahm.
