Event details
New-media artist Robin Vuchnich’s interactive, light-based installation draws on Henry David Thoreau’s collection of pressed plants from Concord, Massachusetts. A virtual projected grid uses color-coded data to show the decline of species Thoreau collected, while an immersive projection depicts floral species in decline around Walden Pond. A sensor tracks visitors’ movement across the gallery, altering the projected fields of flowers. When movement stops, the flowers return to their full display. Organized by the Frist Art Museum.
