This performance presents Vince Guaraldi’s jazz score from It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown in a live setting at Rudy’s Jazz Room. The program draws on the music and story of the Peanuts special, in which Linus waits in a pumpkin patch for the mythical Great Pumpkin. The ensemble features Alex Murphy on piano, Kofi Shepsu on drums and cymbals, and Jack Aylor on acoustic bass. Murphy is a Chicago-born pianist now based in Nashville whose work spans jazz, pop, R&B, and hip hop.
