About this event

The Southern Festival of Books: A Celebration of the Written Word is a free literary festival held each October at the Tennessee State Museum, Tennessee State Library & Archives, and Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. The event features author readings and discussions, performance stages, food trucks, and dozens of publishers and booksellers. It welcomes hundreds of authors and thousands of visitors.
