Rougarou is a Nashville-based, New Orleans-inspired brass ensemble led by Brook Sutton and Chris Walters, with a rotating lineup featuring sousaphone or tuba, piano, guitar, drums, trumpet, trombone and saxophone. The group draws on New Orleans brass traditions and may perform in a lean street-band setup or with a fuller stage arrangement. Performances begin at 9 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of each month. Rudy’s serves red beans and rice, gumbo, shrimp po-boys and other New Orleans fare. Service industry workers can receive half-price door admission and half-price draft beer by showing documentation or online evidence of their employer at the door.
