Event details
At the onset of the Winter Solstice, The Longest Night brings together music, poetry, spoken word, dance and improvisation in a multidisciplinary celebration of hope, renewal and community. Created by Nashville’s Portara Ensemble, saxophonist Jeff Coffin, poet Ciona Rouse and dance collective Di Mossa, the performance draws on diverse cultural and spiritual traditions associated with the return of light after the year’s darkest evening. The event returns to the OZ Arts stage for the first time in seven years and includes an ensemble of Nashville artists and surprise guests.
