Saxophonist, composer and educator Miguel Alvarado performs a set rooted in Afro-Cuban music and post-bop jazz, featuring original compositions and reimagined jazz classics. He is known for his improvisational approach and has performed with R&B, Latin, rock and jazz groups. The performance begins at 6 p.m. at Rudy’s Jazz Room. Alvarado is based in Middle Tennessee and serves as an adjunct professor at Middle Tennessee State University.
