Grammy-winning saxophonist Dana Robbins leads a tribute to Les McCann, Eddie Harris and other artists associated with the soul-jazz sound of the late 1960s and early 1970s. The program also draws from B3 organ and tenor saxophone recordings by Jimmy Smith, Shirley Scott, Jimmy McGriff, Joey DeFrancesco and Charles Earland. Robbins is joined by David Santos on bass, Wes Little on drums, Phil Hughley on guitar, and Darius Mines on piano and B3 organ. She has performed or recorded with Delbert McClinton, Keb’ Mo, Steve Cropper, Aretha Franklin, Taj Mahal, Keith Urban, Chris Stapleton, Jennifer Hudson, Felix Cavaliere and the McCrary Sisters.
