Nashville Symphony’s Opening Weekend marks 80 years in Music City and 20 years at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. Leonard Slatkin premieres as music director with a program celebrating the diverse sounds of American music. The Nashville Symphony and Chorus will be joined by Storm Large of Pink Martini, Kathy Mattea of NPR’s Mountain Stage, opera and American Songbook performer Sylvia McNair, and Suzy Bogguss.
