Discovery Design Time is a weekly Thursday program featuring a new hands-on art and engineering activity each session. This session’s Fall on the Farm theme focuses on the history and purpose of scarecrows. Participants will use a toilet paper tube, paper ribbon, and burlap to build and decorate a scarecrow while exploring the design and engineering process. The activity introduces vocabulary including sculpture, design, structure, and agriculture.
