This beginner-level, approximately three-hour class introduces MIG welding, including safe welding of mild steel stock and multiple joint styles. Participants receive hands-on practice with a dedicated welder and complete a steel pen holder project. Materials and personal protective equipment are provided. The class is for ages 14 and older. Participants under 15 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who is also enrolled; those under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present to sign a waiver. It is a prerequisite for other metalworking classes. Enrollments are nonrefundable and nontransferable, and age or prerequisite requirements apply.
